LNDS Joins ERTICO Partnership to advance Smart Mobility by enhancing Intelligent Transport Systems

We are pleased to share that Luxembourg National Data Service (LNDS) has joined the ERTICO Partnership, reinforcing our commitment to responsible data reuse in support of Luxembourg’s mobility ambitions. This collaboration creates new opportunities for us to exchange knowledge and collaborate on data-driven transport initiatives at European level.

ERTICO – ITS Europe is a Brussels-based public-private partnership that brings together over 120 members from industry, research, and public authorities. For more than 30 years, ERTICO has helped accelerate the adoption of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), digital technologies that enhance transport safety, efficiency, and sustainability. ERTICO’s activities span areas such as connected and automated mobility, urban mobility, clean and eco-mobility, and transport data sharing across Europe.

By joining ERTICO, LNDS becomes part of a European network driving innovation in smart traffic management, connected mobility, and data-based infrastructure. We will contribute our expertise in trusted data reuse to ensure that transport data is shared and reused in transparent, secure, and responsible ways.

We warmly welcome the Luxembourg National Data Service to the ERTICO Partnership. Their expertise in enabling ethical, trusted and value-driven reuse of data brings unique strength to our mission of building smart, sustainable and data-powered mobility ecosystems across Europe.

Joost Vantomme, CEO of ERTICO – ITS Europe.

Through this partnership, LNDS will take part in European-funded projects and innovation platforms supporting cross-border cooperation, data infrastructure development, and sustainable mobility.

“We are excited to collaborate with ERTICO and partners across Europe to build trusted data ecosystems that deliver sustainable mobility with positive societal impact,” Bert Verdonck, CEO of LNDS.

This collaboration connects Luxembourg more closely to Europe’s smart mobility landscape and enables us to work with leading stakeholders in transport and data innovation toward human-centric, sustainable, and data-driven solutions that contribute to Europe’s digital transition.
